Government

         The government of Malawi is a multiparty democracy with the Executive branch, Legislative branch and Judicial branch. The head of government is the president. Suffrage was 18 years of age; universal. The national holidays are mostly the same as ours with the exception of Boxing Day, Martyr Day and Chilembwe Day. The diplomatic reperesentative to the US is Ambassador Hawa NDILOW. Internal affiliations consist of the UK who support and try to enhance the political parties in Malawi. The military branches are the Malawi Armed Forces (including Air Wing and Naval Detachment) and Police (including Mobile Force Units). 0.7 of the GDP is spent on the military.
